Tu-whoo T-whoo: Puddleglum is the second of Danu Slings inspired by Irish Author C.S. Lewis' beloved Narnia series.

The gorgeous Owl and stars print this time come in a deep teal woollen blend referencing one of our another Narnian, Puddleglum.

The tri-blend of Steel Grey Merino Wool (26%), TealCotton (26 %) and our signature White Irish Linen (48%) offers excellent support and comfort, softening beautifully with use. This wrap is suitable for newborns and toddlers. Danu Slings have no wrong side, both are as stunning as each other.

The Story behind the wrap...

Tu-whoo, tu-whoo! is what the owls in Narnia say in the Parliament of Owls. They always met at night, as the most famous Glimfeather explains: "most of the creatures in Narnia have such unnatural habits. They do things by day, in broad blazing sunlight (ugh!) when everyone ought to be asleep. And, as a result, at night they’re so blind and stupid that you can’t get a word out of them. So we owls have got into the habit of meting at sensible hours, on our own, when we want to talk about things.”

Puddleglum Puddleglum is the companion of Eustace and Jill as they search for Prince Rilian, heir to the Narnian throne, who disappeared 10 years earlier.

He is a unique character in Lewis's works. He is neither dashing nor charming, neither a great fighter nor a clever strategist. Yet he is instrumental in breaking the Emerald Witch's spell and releasing the Prince by stomping out her magical fire (badly injuring his foot in the process, though not as much as a normal human would, since his feet are webbed).

While the children initially (and not entirely without merit) consider him a "wet blanket" who removes the good from any situation, he proves to be a strong and steadfast companion, especially in Underland where he is all they have to cling to. It is Puddleglum who often spots the best course of action, and ultimately Puddleglum who wins the debate with the Lady, using an argument that incidentally reveals that he has overcome his cynical and pessimistic ways. She reacts furiously and turns into a serpent, only to be killed by Rilian, who finally realizes that she was the serpent who had killed his mother 10 years earlier.

More fabulous owls
Whats not to love about puddleglum from the name to the colourway to the amazing softness! After I was smitten with glimfeather I couldn't resist the puddleglum colourway and I wasn't disappointed. This time I went for a longer wrap now that I was no longer terrified of the wool which is surprisingly easy to deal with. Its a gorgeous wrap and I look forward to many more hours of happy baby wearing using these beautiful owls.

thu-whoo
The tu-whoo is a splendid design. It arrived not very soft, it need some breaking in. After a long wash and some work, this become soft and easy to wrap. I love this wrap, It is very supportive and comfortable on the shoulders. The wrap is perfect for toddler . Other my wraps in linen blend become a lot of creases and needs often iron, this no. I suggest to put a washing instruction, and a nice brochure into the box to complete the beautiful packaging..

Love
To be honest this is my first wool/linen wrap and I didn't know what I was missing. The blend has just the right amount of stretch but is also amazingly supportive. The wool gives it some grip when knotting and the linen was super soft as soon as I washed it. I was worried that it would be too heavy and hot as the weather warms up but even around the house it breathes so beautifully. I love this tri-blend so much that I ordered a COH Raphael and cannot wait for it to get here!

Newbie babywrapper
This is our first woven wrap and it was instant love! So soft and supportive. The wool makes it airy and not to warm as I was afraid of beforehand. And the pattern is amazing 😍 Went for a 8 km walk with our 9,5 kg baby in fwcc and it was Great! No pain in shoulders or back at all. Now we need all the Danus 👍

I've been wrapping for a while
I've been wrapping for a while and have long had my eye on the wool blend of wraps, as they just seem to be a bit more luxurious perhaps than a cotton wrap. I am also an aficionado of owls so it was inevitable that this would come to live with me! I must start the review really saying that I love this wrap. I got a 5 which is quite a long 5 so am able to do the normal multi-layer carries with it, and its very responsive and holds my daughter really well. As yet it is still slightly scratchy but I understand this is common with wool. It feels thin, thinner than I expected, but is very warm, which has been a real comfort lately with the cold winds! I think it may well be not too warm in summer evenings too. Now the design. I love this wrap design, and find I try to make sure I have the owl poking out of the front clearly rather than following the middle markers strictly! Both sides are lovely, although I normally wrap with the darker side as I'm a big blue fan. I think it looks great, particularly if you're a fan of Narnia or owls! I highly recommend.
